Jessie Minto
General Manager
Jessie grew up near Higgins Lake and graduated from Roscommon High School. He has been part of the marine industry for over 32 years, including 24 years with Spicer’s Boat City.
Jessie began his career in the Parts Department before moving into Sales. He later transitioned to the Service Department, where he led the Rigging Department. From there, he advanced to Service Manager and now serves as General Manager. His experience across multiple departments gives him a deep, well-rounded understanding of the business.
Outside of work, Jessie enjoys spending time with his wife and daughter. Together, they love boating, camping, and downhill skiing. He also takes great pride in supporting his daughter and watching her compete in sports.
Mike Trent
Sales Manager
30-plus-year veteran at Spicer’s. Avid boater and off-roader. I enjoy hunting and fishing and being outdoors.
Matt Ropp
Sales Manager
Meet Matt the “Baby Boss”, where he leads with energy, experience, and a true passion for helping his team succeed. Matt is driven by delivering the best possible customer experience and takes pride in making every interaction a great one. When he’s not at the dealership, you’ll find him playing dinosaurs with his two boys or out on the golf course yelling “fore!”
John "Van" Vanantwerp
Finance Manager
My name is John VanAntwerp but here at Spicers Boat City I go by VAN. I have been with Spicers for 9 years now with most of that time being spent in the Service Department as a Service Advisor. I have recently been promoted to the business office as a Business Manager. I live in Harrison and enjoy spending time with my family, whether we are on our Pontoon boat or riding the trails in our Polaris Ranger. Every day I come into work, I feel like a kid in a candy store. There are so many awesome products here, I would really like to have one of each. I enjoy talking with people and can’t wait to see any and all of you here at Spicers to make that investment into your Family Fun! Hope to see you soon.

Originally from Cuba, I am a bilingual professional who has been proudly working at Spicer’s for nearly five years. I’m a fast learner who is grateful for the opportunities the company has given me, and I take pride in the accomplishments I’ve achieved along the way. Outside of work, I enjoy spending time with my family on the outdoors and traveling.

Trevor Robinson

Originally from Utah, I grew up surrounded by adventure in the Rocky Mountains—riding side-by-sides and ATVs, and even exploring the old-fashioned way on horseback. Since making Michigan home, my passion for the outdoors has only grown, especially on the water. Whether it’s wakeboarding, surfing, or simply enjoying time on the lake, I love everything powersports and boating have to offer.
As someone who thrives on adventure, I take pride in helping others find theirs. There’s nothing better than pairing the thrill of the outdoors with the comfort and excitement that the right boat or powersports vehicle can bring. I’m here to help you make the most of every moment outside.
